For Gavin's birthday I made him chocolate cupcakes with the-best-ever chocolate frosting. The Christmas wraps, sprinkles, and little pokes made them birthday special!

In 2009 I read the book, The Actor And The Housewife, and loved how the protagonist made 2 pies every Sunday- one for her family and one to give away. I don't make pies, but I like the concept of making something to share with others that will give them a smile and know they're loved. Fast forward 3 years and after a wonderful Relief Society lesson about being anxiously engaged in a good cause, I was inspired to become "the cupcake lady" and share some homebaked goodness of my own. So, I will try each week to make a new flavor of cupcakes (from scratch) to share with someone who would appreciate a little visit of sweetness. I will share the recipes here.
